How do you get the plactic cover over the motor off. I don't want to force it without knowing where to pull or disconnect it.

Well, on my 3.5 you have to remove the the oil cap then just pull up... don't even have to pull very hard...

Same on the 3.6....I see why they have the covers on the 3.6. (Half is plastic and half is a soft rubber like material), the intake is pretty ugly LOL.

if your talking about the 2.4
take the oil cap off and then lift straight up. but the cover is attached/part of the airbox so be careful.

I wondered how to pull it off the Eco. I might have to see what it looks like under there now.

I am talking about the 2.4 motor. Do you disconnect the air box before pulling up on the plastic cover? Is there anything else to disconnect before pulling up.

IIRC I think there is a sensor on the bottom of the air intake tube. Im not sure but its not too hard to see if anything is connected.

You have to loosen a clamp, from the air box to the throttle body and the clamps at the air box.
Look under the drivers side of the plastic cover, look towards the throttle body, using a flat screw driver loosen the clamp (hose clamp).
Loosen the air box clamps and remove the oil fill cap.

The plastic cover will just lift off - it sits on 2 rubber/metal guides. (easy to pull off and on).
