if your talking about the 2.4
take the oil cap off and then lift straight up. but the cover is attached/part of the airbox so be careful.

IIRC I think there is a sensor on the bottom of the air intake tube. Im not sure but its not too hard to see if anything is connected.

You have to loosen a clamp, from the air box to the throttle body and the clamps at the air box.
Look under the drivers side of the plastic cover, look towards the throttle body, using a flat screw driver loosen the clamp (hose clamp).
Loosen the air box clamps and remove the oil fill cap.

The plastic cover will just lift off - it sits on 2 rubber/metal guides. (easy to pull off and on).
