Hello, I've recently acquired a 2000 Chevy Malibu as a first car, the car itself is very nice and I'm gonna fix it up, my only real complaint is the crank windows. Every time I have to roll them down I have to crank them, and I was wondering if there's a way I could install power windows into my Malibu. I know certain Malibu models from the year 2000 had power windows, and I'm wondering if there's a method to swap the inside of the door and wiring from a power window model to mine, so that way I can have windows that go down from a button instead of a crank, if there's any know method to swap power windows into a model with crank windows please let me know, thank you everyone :D

Glad you asked about changing over from standard windows to power windows.
First, can it be done…YES!
How much money and how long will it take?

way too much time and money.
Like give me a quote here 😅
How much money would it cost? I found a malibu that's getting parted out and it has the power windows and stuff
But what would the method even be? This is my first car so I've got no idea lol 😅

All 4 doors? And guaranteed to work for at least 1 full up cycle and one full down cycle……with wiring into the cabin to the BCM…… if you provide the complete door assembly, assembled and working… about $100 each for the 4 ea pigtail from door to chassis, +$100 for pigtail from drivers switch assembly to BCM about $150-$200 to hang each door. About 1-2 hr per door.
That’s real close to $1200-$1500 on the cheap. Now if you get a set of schematics, and can surgically remove the wiring harness from the doner car with all the switches…that are working, and reinstall your self. You will be out about the same time about 8-12hr.
Now if you try to transfer all parts into your doors….double to triple the work.
