i just had a 2009 malibu and i love it, but there are some thing i wanna know c
1st: i have a nokia N97 and it paired nicely with my malibu but when i play music from my phone there is no sound coming from it , so i assumed it uses the car speaker but i couldn't figure how.
2nd:can any one help me to know what are the big plus signs control on the steering because it's not for volume nor cruise!
3rd: what are three buttons in ceiling behind the ceiling lights and tried to play with them but i didn't notice any deference.
Thank alot

I can answer the 2nd question.

If you notice bellow the Drive on the shifter, there is lower setting.

those are called paddle shifters. Like a standard tranny, but /w no clutch.

It's good for the hwy I find, but not city driving where you have to turn and such.

My 2¢ anyway :)

It's my wife's car, so I don't play that much with it. :)

3-Homelink, you can set it up to open your garage door or turn on the lights in your house.

Thank you , so how can i program it ?
It's in your owners manual. My garage door is really new and it didn't work at first. I called Homelink (number is in there too) and they were able to walk me through it. You can program up to three things, I just have my garage door hooked up so far.

Both of the paddles do the same thing, it just depends on which hand you want to use.

A question back about the LTZ, what is your idle RPM's sitting on park?

or anybody else /w the 3.6, I think the one we have, feels like it revs to high at idle.
Around 800 rpm's engine warmed up, around 1400 on a cold start.

I'm pretty sure the Bluetooth only works for calls, not music. Although, I've never tried it. Now, you've got me curious...
Thats what got me curios too. The sound from my mobile must be transmitted somewhere but i don't know where. I will continue play with it until i figure it out or i give up which happens first.:)

If your phone has an out put jack you could hook it up with a jack cable to the input on your car's stereo.
