You mean the rubber strip?
yes, the black rubber piece that protect the bumper. I would never scratch the bumper but someone else drives the car who is not as careful as I am.
I'm sure there is one available...
I'll post this on GMI and see if anyone there knows.
Here's something that a Saab owner suggested.
No idea if it'll work with the Malibu...but FWIW...

FenwickHockey - That's sweet! I am liking that idea, I am constantly putting power tools in my trunk and something like this would be nice.
Power Tools!!! DOA you should have bought a pickup :D
Malo83 - Yeah I would have if only I could find one with good gas mileage....Now I am not a contract but rather I design and build them....so usually it's samples.

You cound get a fender cover and keep it in your trunk and lay it across your back bumper when removing and placing tools in your trunk! Here is a link that will show you what they look like.

MiracleMalibu - Hmm....Never thought about that, I have 3 of them in my garage and one is not even opened. Thanks for the idea.
I need one of those fender covers...since GM decided to put the oil cap waaaaay towards the back of the engine in the Sonoma...it's a pain to fill her up with oil when you can't even reach the damn cap.
