Have any of you found out how to remove the rear deck on the malibu 2016-2018? I had new front speakers, front pillar speakers, rear 6x9s and 2 12" memphis subs installed and was wondering how I could take out the rear deck as I have the LS version which didn't come with rear deck speakers with the grills and was wanting to get the full potential of them and it also rattles now because the speakers pushing through the deck, I don't know why they didn't just go and cut out holes at least all they did was remove some of the fluff that's under the deck.

I'm shocked to read a car with 2x 12" subs is now a rattle bucket.

For step by step instructions you will want the service manual or a short term subscription to a site like alldatadiy. The short from memory version: you remove the quarter panels/rear window trim, lower the seatbacks then pop out the three fasteners, release the mini belt that goes through the tray, pop up the center seat belt bezel and carefully lift it out. You could get the other one and install it, not expensive. Or cut the holes and rig something up yourself with it out.

its not the subs that make it rattle it's the 6x9s making the rear deck rattle at times
