Hey, I have a 2005 Malibu Maxx LS.

To lock or unlock the car i have to press and hold the buttons on the fob. I would like to know if there is any way to have it so that it's just a one-press?

Essentially, yes. I have to press and hold for a good 3-5 seconds. I would really like it to be a one touch to unlock and lock

Try changing the batteries in the FOB.

I had the same problem, The dealer reprogrammed the fobs and no problem since. Make sure you take BOTH fobs in. According to my dealer if they reprogram only one then the other won't function.

I think there is some connection problem.ask your dealor to check.

Don't thnk there's anythng you can have done, on the older Malibu's it's aways been where you had to hit the remote twice to unlock the other doors one push to unlock the drivers door. Not sure if GM got away from this and went to using one push feature to unlock all the doors.

Nope still the same, 1 push for driver unlock, two for all doors. Consitency is good
