The chrome trim on the car looks ghetto, is there anyway to remove it and reinstall it? I have seen other chrome trim on vehicles where all it is is a chrome skin over black plastic, any help would be apprieciated, thnx.

Why is that ghetto? It actually isn't bad quality. While I am not a fan of chrome, on the Malibu that works. You could prep and paint it, but it would be alot of work to get it off. Best, and cheapest way IMO would be vinyl.
Its not ghetto looking on all the bu's just doesnt look good on my car with blacked out rims.

I see what your saying. A good vinyl shop should be able to cover it with no problems for maybe $100.
The up-side would be that it wouldn't be permanent, and you could choose from various colors/finishes to achieve the look your going for.

I used matte black vinyl on my Silverado and was really happy with the results.
