Replacement rod bolts are different than what came out of the rods

Hello everybody, so I'm rebuilding the 2.2 L ecotec in my 2006 Malibu LT...timing chain tensioner broke and screwed up the valves...so...while the head was off I took the pistons out and cleaned them and the rings up from all the carbon build up...while doing some research, from what I understand the rod bolts are Torque To Yield and are pretty much a one time use from what I understand...so I ordered new rod bolts....same part number but they are definitely different...I'm wondering if anybody else has ran into this issue before??? I cant seem to find anything out. The one on the right is what came out. The one on the left is the new one from GM.

If it's a GM bolt I would say it's the factory approved replacement. They make running changes on parts.
I myself have never seen a fully threaded torque to yield bolt.
