I don't read many complaints of road noise in the gen8. I have been in a 2014 and it was average for a sedan. If you are noticing substantial noise it can be the tires (what do you have on there) and it could be other things like a wheel bearing(s).

Thank you - That's all I needed to hear to know that I need to have it checked out. There are 2 different brands of tires on it (It's 5° and dark out so I don't want to go look right now). I appreciate your opinion though - that just tells me that having it checked out is necessary!

I've run 4 sets of all seasons on my gen 8 and I can attest to the difference in road noise from them. Most of them are very noisy at 5/32 or so. I haven't measured the noise but I'll list my opinion below on tires when new (low number = low noise, 1/10 would be a 2013 Mercedes S550 level of noise with OEM tires).

3/10 noise w/ terrible traction - Goodyear Eagle Touring 245/45r16 (oem Cadillac XTS tires)
4/10 noise w/ decent traction (not for spirited driving)- Continental True Contact 215/60r16
6/10 noise w/ terrible traction - OEM Goodyear assurance fuelmax 215/60r16
7/10 noise w/ excellent traction - Falken Pro G5 Sport A/S 225/50r16
10/10 noise w/ excellent winter traction - Nokian Hakkapelitta 8 215/60r16
