Hello all,

My name is Brandon and I live in Mineral Wells, TX

I just purachased a new to me 2007 Chevy Malibu LT with the 3.5l v6 and auto with about 32,500 on the clock and after 14,000.00 and 5 years its gonna be mine

Purchased this as a replacement family vehicle (my lady, my newly 1 year old kiddo and myself) after sinking too much money into another car

in less then 24 hours of owning it Im pretty happy with it,its clean and has power everything only set back was outside color (burgundy) but the black interior is sharp. Key fob is messed up already did some reading on here about those and rear passenger speaker has some static

main plans are to lower it, change wheels, hid, upgrade the speakers, and add mild exhaust as it need to be a reliable family vehicle for years to come

interested in finding a factory service manual (since I have one for the rest of my cars) and factory remote start option and what parts interchange between other gm cars

hey thanks for the welcome, no problem on the delay

had the car 2 weeks already and it going to the dealership for the 3rd time

already replaced/fixed wiper cowl problem (noise above 40mph) the right rear speakers, sway bar bushings (steering pop), then the intermediate steering shaft (2nd steering pop) and now I ordered a key from "usautolock" on ebay and now the car has to scanned for some reason involving the ecu and it programming ability (could be a bad chip, one is on the way) but I know from the service records this car had some portion of the ecu replaced before...

also found out the dealership wants 750.00 to add remote start optiom, that seemed a but high in price

finding out there isn't much made for this car, though its main purpose is a family ride I can't ever leave anything alone, lol

Sorry about all those issues and trips to the stealership, but its good to get those things resolved now that they are minor and not major issues. As for the remote start, the quote they gave you seems unbelievably high! Maybe look into an aftermarket kit, same feature only much cheaper. Even though there might not be much to mod on the car you can still add your own little touches to make it your own, and most of them for cheap too.

got tint 35% all the way around (I dislike mismatched tint) and it was a huge improvement on the car, wife loves it and it will work great for keeping shade on out little one (of course)

I'd have some pics up but got busy helping a buddy on his honda (heater core) and it supposed to rain next few days...

looking at exhaust options (since my buddy owns an exhuast / custom shop)

suggestions for the 3.5l vvt motor? you tube was lacking (even looking at g6's and montes)

added K&N drop in filter and I noticed a 8mpg highway increase (at 32mpg now) seems kinda week

added 8000k HIDs to low beams

also bought some 20x8.5 with 38mm offset - Verde V49 "sinister" wheels with 225/35/r20 tires for about 920.00 installed... sits flush with the fender from the side... nees to be lowered about 2"

getting my exhaust down today, 2.5 pipe, res delete, dual flowmaster 40 series, stainless tips

hope to have pictures and sound clips tomorrow evening

also working on full SMD led light conversion (already did the dome light, it bright)
