Hi all,

I have a 2016 Malibu Limited 2.5l with 120,000km

For a while now the rpm during idle jumps between 700 and 900rpm. aswell as occasionally dipping below 700rpm and having a brief shake as rpm jump back up.(feels like a small misfire) this happens regardless whether im in park, neautral, drive, or reverse.

aswell Ive noticed while traveling at a constant speed and lightly pressing the gas to accelerate engine rpm seem to drop a little, and a low vibration can be heard before it shifts and accelerate like normal

i have no codes, or lights on. my buddy hooked up his scan tool and couldnt find any weird readings from any sensors.

ive tried changing sparkplugs with no luck. coils seem in good shape.

hoping someone here has encounterd something similar so i can narrow it down a little before putting any money into fixing it.

praying the hesitation isnt tranny related

Check the intake manifold bolts to see if they are tight and get your intake valves scoped to see the state of carbon build up. Please search the forum for more information as this has been discussed a number of times. Good luck with your repair!
