Please follow these rules for posting in the Problems/Service Issues section or your thread or post may be modified or removed. Under some circumstances, further action may be taken including a site ban.

1. If creating a new discussion, your title should briefly describe your issue. This is so people know the content before they click, and so it can be found by searching. Do not use vague titles like "2011 Malibu Problem" or "Please help!"

2. The body of your post MUST contain model year, trim level, engine, transmission (# of gears/speeds), and of course the # of miles. This makes it infinitely easier to narrow down and assess your problem.

3. Any fault codes, warning messages, or warning lights should be clearly listed. Since we can't experience your car's behavior firsthand, the best way toward a diagnosis is to start with any messages the car has displayed. Video recording and pictures are also very helpful. Any work attempted and/or relevant vehicle history must be described.

4. Include any work or activity on the vehicle that might relate to your issue. If you're not sure if it relates, it's better to include it than not. Things such as removing fuses or relays, any modifications (radio upgraded, lights changed, parts repaired or replaced), and if it happens when another driver uses the vehicle.

5. This forum is not for ranting about how much you hate GM/Chevy/Malibu over your repairs. Car troubles are frustrating for anyone, but without exception, every car brand sells a few lemons. Most members are here because they like their cars and clicked your link because they want to help. Violating this rule may result in an immediate ban.
