Just had 215 60 16 snow tires mounted on a set of used Saab 9-5 alloy wheels ($275 Craig's List) w/o TPMS sensors. The rims fit nicely and look pretty good and while I was prepared to live with the yellow idiot light for the winter, so far the car seems to be "remembering" the last signal transmitted by the OEM TPMS sensors.

Someone at the dealer told me that the vehicle would fail state inspection if the TPMS light was on but the service manager backed off on that and said that TPMS was not yet required.

Memory cleared. One day later, yellow tire dash light flashes at start and then remains on. Have to press Info once to clear Service TPMS Msg and return to odometer & temp.

Have the same issue happening to me. Get the warning light. The tire pressure icon flashes for a bit then becomes a solid yellow. Still can drive the car with no issues. Just have to manually monitor the tire pressure.

Put a piece of tape over the light and it wont bother you as much when driving.

My perfect solution is to pop the gauge cluster out, find the light itself, and take it out. If that will cause another dummy light, then just cut the positive wire and dead-tape it.

I did this to the BRAKE light in my 2000 Toyota ECHO because for some reason it kept saying the e-brake was pulled (though it was not).

The idiot light actually is not that bad its not that noticeable.
