as some of you may remember i bought those adapters from billetwheeladapters and they fit but were horrible to ride on. when i hit speeds of 45+ i had a lot of vibrating and felts like i was riding on ice being uneasy if they were going to rattle lose due to vibrating.

so i ordered a another pair from www.motorsport-tech.com and these were made specifically for MY car, specifically for the WHEELS i have. these adapters have the lip on the center of the adapter for the rim hub centric so i have 0 vibrations.

and they dont have 2 holes, so im assuming theyre tougher..
and they wont stick out past my wheel well because theyre only 3/4" thick rather than the 1" from the other company.
yes, excited...

So are these adapters to change your lug pattern or are they wheel spacers?

for me, these adapters are changing my lug pattern from 5x110 to 5x114.3 so i can fit many other rims on the car, the adapters are only 3/4" thick.

Does anyone know if these things are any good safety wise?
i didnt even know that these existed. and i am really bored with the selection of 5x110 wheels.......
sure they're safe if you, i guess check them every so often... keeping in mind you have to remove the tire to tighten the adapter to the car then put the rim on the adapter and tighten the rim to the adapter.

They look like the wheel spacers I have on my Mustang. I have 1.5" spacers in the back to push the wheels out more, they really look badass.

How much did the adapters set you back? And won't rims stick out past your fenders now because the adapters are basically like 3/4" spacers??

the adapters were $250. but its worth it because they make these adapters so specific. let me briefly tell you what happened to me. i went out and bought a universal adapter and spent $140 on it, and when i got em on and hit 45+ mph it caused a lot of vibration. these other adapters that i talk about are specifically made for the car and the rim your putting on it, no vibrations because they have the hub centric ring built on the adapter, which is that little lip on the middle.

as far as sticking out further than the fender, no not really the first set of adapters were 1" thick and the rims were flush with the wheel well and it actually looked good, so these 3/4" thick will be perfect.

heres a couple pictures of my car with the first set of adapters i had...

Wow, yeah they do actually look really good. Was it $240 for all four? Where did you get them? And what width are those wheels, 7" or 7.5"? I have old 20x7.5 rims that are 5x114.3 that I would love to put on the bu.

The spacers I have on the Mustang are H&R hubcentric spacers, but I don't think they make wheel adapters.

I think I would still be a little nervous to get them though because I do a lot of hwy driving at about 70 mph and I wouldn't want a wheel to fly off :/

haha yeah i do a lot of driving on interstate 26 here in charlestonSC, and at first you do have that uneasy feeling like your driving on ice scared its gonna break from under you but that feeling goes away... haha
it was $265 for all 4 shipped to my address. they were bought from www.motorsport-tech.com and they had really good communication with me, i sent/recieved a few emails from 1 of the guys and spoke with another 1 on the phone. and the rim size of the rims i am going to put on my car is 18x8 with i think 40 series tire, and also my car is lowered 2 inches all around...

Hmm, maybe if I can't sell my old rims I'll consider those. Mine are 20x7.5 so they shouldn't look bad.

Are yours one piece or two piece adapters?

I wouldn't run them. There is a reason wheels are made and sold in different bolt patterns. I have read a few accounts of studs breaking on LS1Tech.
people on ls1tech are power/speed freaks that probably put them adapters through stress the normal daily driven vehicle wouldnt go through... adapters should be fine on regular daily driven vehicles..

just my .02
