I have a 2015 Malibu LS and would like to swap out the radio for the 2013-2015 Malibu LTZ factory stereo (touchscreen), wanted to know if it is plug and play? Also does it have to be programmed since it’s going from one Malibu to another?

Also thinking about installing an android double din touch screen stereo, I was wondering if there are any dash kits that do not have the upper storage compartment like pictured below.

If you use the Search feature, you may find a number of comments that the radios can't be switched out just willy-nilly. If the car was not programmed for the HU, it won't work.

To install an Android double DIN in place of your factory HU, consult Crutchfield or YouTube. You may also find related posts/threads in CMF relating to that very project.
