Hello everyone, just wanted to let you know that we have a 2010 Chevy Malibu with a 2.4, original engine, only changed the timing like 40,000 miles ago and kept up with all maintenance. Last summer 2022, my husband hit the 300,000 miles mark. It is currently as of today 3/10/23, at 314,095 and still running. It is his commute car that he drives to his job 5 days a week and one way trip is 48.6 miles. My daughter asked when are you going to get a new car. Husband says, "why, my car still runs...."

That's AWESOME!
Just goes to show that with proper maintenance, cars can rack up a lot of miles.

P.S. My 2010 Malibu 2LT only has 27,600 miles on it. Bought it last August with 18,600. My commute is 34 miles each way.
My 2012 Malibu 1LT has 205,000 miles on it. Our youngest daughter is driving it. Just need to keep an eye on fluid levels and quirky noises.

I bought my 2010 LT 2 years ago with 90K miles to replace my 2011 malibu LS which could not change gear, now it is around 10.5K miles. I have done a lot of maintenance and repair on it, like change the fuel pump, exhaust manifold, axle shaft seal, repair sunroof leak, transmission fluid cooler line leak. Went to garage to replace exhaust flex pipe.
Even last week, it won't start, I have to replace the fuel pump fuse box.
After all the problems, it seems running fine. The only thing I feel bad right now is the rust on the body, still plannning on whether worth to do it.

Congrats on the long lasting Malibu! Malibu's are excellent cars. Do you have any rust issues in front of the rear tire areas after all those miles? Jay G
