Hi there,
I know a pretty good amount about subwoofer installs and have done/assisted hands-on with a couple myself. I had a few questions regarding installing a new one in my car.
1. Is there any specific spot I should tap into for my Line-out converter? I know in a buddy's Charger, we had to tap in right at the amp for one reason or another I can't remember.
2. Is there any special bypasses or things like that I will have to do? I haven't really installed a sub in a car this new before and want to get it right first try, if possible.

Thanks everyone!

If you do not have expertise on how to do this, then your bank account or credit card is the best tool you have for this.
Pay someone who is an expert to install it.
I do have expertise on this. I stated that above. I just don’t know what specifically for this vehicle, which is why I am inquiring with somebody who may. Thanks tho

I think that @JTR19 was trying to be diplomatic.

You're 18, give or take, so at best you've had a few years of dealing with stuff like this. Your expertise is minimal at best, with your own post stating "a couple myself". That's the beginning of experience. Expertise is defined as "expert skill or knowledge in a particular field." Note the word "expert". That comes from a great deal of experience, not just one or two times doing or helping someone else.

I'm not kicking you; just letting you know that your credit card could be your best friend here.

One place that might provide you some input as well as guidance on what to buy and what NOT to buy is Crutchfield.

I have a 2011 LTZ with the Bose system. All that means is paper cones and an amplifier in the trunk. I downloaded the wiring diagram for my car, pulled the amp, then made jumpers that allowed me to use either the stock Bose amp or my new Rockford Fosgate amp. With that, I was able to replace the Bose amp with the RF, which is also driving 6 new RF speakers, plus a powered sub.

All I had to do was determine the power level of the inputs to the stock Bose amp, then wire them to the appropriate inputs on the RF amp. The result is that I can now enjoy some super-low notes at just about any volume I want, so long as I don't turn it up so loud that the new speakers make my ears bleed.

I appreciate the honesty and kindness.

I was trying to get across that I know what I am doing overall, I just didn’t know what specifically to do for this vehicle. Im on a fairly tight budget so I’d rather save the ~150$ and do it myself or with friends who have a bit more experience than me. I’ll check out Crutchfield and see if they have any install tips - kinda disappointed I didn’t think of that myself 😁

Thanks again!
