There was a thread regarding express open and close on the Driver's side window. It appears the LT2 and LTZ have express open and close while the other models just have express open.
I've been using the sunroof the last couple of days and I realized that there is just an express open. No Express Close. That's a little inconvenient. When I want to close the sunroof, it would be nice to have it close automatically rather than hold the button until it closes. I've had other cars with sunroofs that had both express open and close.
Did anyone notice if they have an express close on their sunroof?
Also, I don't like that you have to hit the button twice to get the sunroof to open. The first time you hit it, it goes to the vent position. Then you have to hit it again to get it to open. With my last car, if the sunroof was closed and you hit the button towards the closed position, the vent would open. If you moved it towards the open position, the sunroof would slide open.
Also, it would have been nice if the Malibu had the ultraview sunroof. At the fully open position, the Malibu sunroof seems to be only 3/4 open. It's a nice feature this time of year, but it's sort of an old style sunroof.
Kind of a quirky mechanism for the sunroof, but I will say it was a much cheaper option on the Malibu than other cars I've had. I think I paid around $750 for the Malibu Sunroof. It might have been double that on other car's I've owned.
I really only use the sunroof in the spring time anyway. Once the really warm weather arrives, I use the A/C.
