Hello, everyone.

This is Anthony from Sherwood Innovations.
We are the manufacturer of Wood Dash trims and CarID is one of our distributors. (They don't currently list our product for Malibu because of the configuration tool issue)

30pc kit.

We currently make Factory matching wood kit to 1 Dark Wood.

Just want to see if it is worth to develop the second factory matching color (Light wood).

If you can click on this link, and tell us what you have, It will be greatly appreciated.

If you are from Toronto, and have the Dark Wood trim, give me a PM.
We need an installed pictures and you'll receive a free kit for letting us use your car.

Thanks.

Sorry, the short answer is no.

But it is possible if there are enough interests. Perhaps 10-20 firm requests on exact same configuration.
It requires engineer to re-make the nest, laser cutting machine, new shadow sheets etc...

Got ya, makes sense. Reason I ask is I would like some of the pieces, but not all.

Thanks.

No problem.
I understand we can make everyone happy with the configuration we have now.
But if voice is heard, we'll do our best.

We did similar thing at a Sonata forum for the 2011 model kit, and lots of interest lead to a creation of a new kit. Currently have 6 different kits for 2011 Sonata (mostly for their variety of options.)

Please participate on our little survey for better understating of Malibu demographics. :)

Interesting. Took the survey for ya.

Personally I would be interested in just the stack surround piece, which you have listed as 2132-19. I think the full kit is going overboard.

$800 to replace the "trim line" that splits the dash and front doors? Seriously?
Agreed, no way that is correct. The whole top dash pad is $900.

And a kit that had stick on pieces to cover those up wouldn't look good at all. Just pop them off and paint them. The wood is fake and can easily be prepped and painted.

Or, get the part numbers and check the prices on GM Parts Direct. The $800 price you got for a few little pieces of plastic was 100% incorrect for sure!

Well I have done my research as I stated with shipping costs it was the same as what I was quoted. You fail to realize that GM marks things up 300% until the car has been out for a number of years.

Get me the part numbers from your research. As I wanna look them up myself. My guess is the parts guy messed up, and selected the wrong, or extra parts. Plus the dealer "discount" is not close to GMPD prices. They can be 50% less from there.

I have bought many inexpensive parts from GM Parts Direct for NEW cars, so your idea of parts not going down for years is incorrect. If anything as parts become scarce they get more expensive. It really depends on the part....

Its not a theory man its fact. The cavalier parts slowly dropped in price form the dealer as the years went on. I have since tossed the paper with the part number on it since I was not willing to pay more then 100 to replace those parts. Also you must be lucking out or something because I have been modding for years and GMPD is always about the same as I pay at the dealer after you figure in the freight shipping. I actually got my parts cheaper most of the time or within a few dollars of GMPD. When I went to get my PAL for the Malibu it was 25 dollars cheaper then GMPD. The actually list price was cheaper but after shipping it was more then what the dealer was charging.

I've got to agree, their prices for the part alone are good but once you go to check-out.....................well thats where they get you. My dealer has always come out cheaper and I get my stuff faster.

Maybe cause I have stuff drop shipped to work. The shipping is never bad, but I don't order one thing. I order a few parts. Plus there is no sales tax. But bottom line is what he needs can't be $800. I wouldn't trust some parts counter guy to tell me what I need anyway. I would find out the part numbers own my own and double check. Like I said, when the dealer replaced my dash pad for warping, I asked for the part number. It was $900 for the WHOLE top of the dash. No way that trim is $800 with a discount, so then what is it otherwise? $1300?!
