Tire Rack makes some nice racks that stand them up and keep them up on the wall off the floor. I have seen a few covers that will protect the tires from dust and such while they are stacked on the floor if you go that route. If I do end up with winter tires (not likely now since I bought a 4wd truck for the snow) I would go with the wall rack since my floor space is already at a premium. Tire Shelves
Later on this summer, I'm hoping to build a shelf of some sort to store my winter tires. This should make some room in the garage a bit. So my questions.
1. Anyone have any pics on how they store their tires for inspiration?
2. Is it better to lay them flat or keep them standing on the shelf?
