Just noticed a couple of rock chips on the front hood of my Dark Gray Metallic 09 Malibu. Any body had any luck with touch up paint matching or is it a waste of time?? They aren't very big but deep...all the way to the primer cos they are white. Come on guys and gals...advice.

Mine matched perfect. Had a small chip on the door edge and I can't see it unless I look reeeeal close. The touch-up comes with the old brush and a ball point type end also.

For a year or two yes it will match. Once the sun does its damage and fades the paint it will not match anymore it will be close but not perfect.

The trick is to use clear coat and keep it waxed.

It will still dull heh. I did that religiously on my cavalier and it was so faded after 4 years that my body kit that was painted a year prior was a different color and showing it worse and worse each year.
