I'm looking to upgrade my 07 Malibu LS to a touchscreen nav with iPod support. I have no idea when it comes to this kind of thing, so I was hoping you gurus could help me out and point out some great systems that are available.

I personally, have a Pioneer AVIC-Z110BT on its way to go in my ride. It is Pioneer's top of the line model right now, so it will cost some money but there is a rebate right now, so when all is said and done, it will cost me $740 for the unit but retail is $1699 so I think I did well. I have spent hours upon hours scouring the internet to try to get the best unit for the money out there. The only bad thing is everytime I thought there was something I wanted to get, I saw some bad reviews. I guess there is no getting around it, so I went with the pioneer. Kenwood always makes a good deck but you will pay top dollar for one of their units and get less features. Do you want bluetooth? I actually wanted it all: DVD, Bluetooth, GPS Navigation, Voice control. What is your budget? I honestly only wanted to spend about $400 but after looking at everything, I figured instead of skimping on features and just wanting them later, I just broke down and spent a little more. I have honestly just spent the last several weeks looking at absolutely every double din DVD unit out on the market, just let me know your budget and the exact features you have to have and I could tell you some models to look at.

I obviously want as cheap as possible, but I don't want to go over 1000$.

The only features I want are navigation/GPS and iPod capability. I don't use bluetooth or watch DVDs. I would love a double din unit as opposed to one where the screen comes out motorized.

Also, I'm in the 702 area too.

If you don't care about DVD, then there is a pioneer model that would suit you. This thing is only $300 and has the features you want and it even includes bluetooth. Double DIN, plays CD's, has one of the best Ipod controls, and has a nice GPS built in. You will also have to get a new harness adapter to put it in your car, steering wheel control unit (model # SWI-PS)(if you have steering wheel controls), Ipod cable (model # CD-IU50), and pay for installation (if you can't do it yourself). If you can do the install yourself, you could be well under $500 and have a pretty sweet setup! Hope this helps!
