This is probably a dumb question, but I just want to be sure.

My 2010 2LT does not list tire pressures when cycling through INFO on the DIC; is it safe to assume that I do not have TPMS sensors on my car?

I did read that TPMS sensors were an option-only on Canadian Malibus which is good thinking on GM's part since so many Canadians use snow tires in the winter.

If it doesn't come up on the DIC then your car is not equipped... you lucky soul.

The mandate requiring TPMS is only a US Law... apparently the average Canadian citizen is smarter than the average US citizen. Or at least your government thinks so. :)

Thanks for the reply RaineMan.

I'm glad I won't have to deal with the annoyances of warnings this winter. My '02 Impala had the first-generation sensors that didn't hassle me in the winter so I've gotten lucky twice now. :D

Very lucky my friend! Yesterday all afternoon the freakin light and DIC kept buggin me....
Why are you guys having this issue so much? You should run 30 or so cold, and my DIC doesn't come on for low pressure until about 25-26 which is too low anyway. Mine has only come on once when I had a nail in a old tire.

My Canadian 2009 Malibu doesn't have it either but I wish it did. My 2008 Solstice has it and I think it's great. Never had the low tire pressure light on as I have never had low pressure but I sure as heck want it to tell me if it is.

Not because of the air, I got a screw in a tire (slow leak) and the wife was heading out to work a few hours after we caught it. Didn't want to take it to get repaired with little time so I threw the spare on. Thats when the dash went crazy, "check TPMS system" or something like that. And it wouldn't come off.
