Transmission fluid leak

A couple months ago I had the transmission cooling line replaced because of a leak. Over the last month I had noticed dark spots on the driveway but didn’t see any oil like the first time with the Cooling Line. In the beginning I thought it was one of my kids cars. So I started to park the Malibu in different areas in the driveway and noticed more dark spots but no oil puddles. Yesterday I looked under the Malibu and seen oil residue on the Transmission.. I told myself No F-------Way. So I took a rag and put it on a stick to touch an area that looked wet, sure enough it was Transmission Fluid. Called dealership today for appointment again:mad:. It has been one problem after another with this car. Has anybody else had any Transmission problems? PS. THE CAR ONLY HAS 14,000 + MILES ON IT.

It sounds like the problem in this TSB http://cid-54465800aad91b49.office.live.com/self.aspx/pub/TSB^_09-07-30-006.pdf, "Transmission Fluid Leak Due to Transmission Converter Housing Seal." If so, I hope they are equipped for the work. The dye fluoresces under the black light source and thus you obviously couldn't tell with the naked eye (is it possible that neither could they?).:(
Glad to hear (the leak fix).:) Maybe it took longer than expected and they didn't quite finish snapping everything back together?:( I hope it's just an oversight (it's not like you wouldn't notice something that's right in front of you).
You're quite welcome.:) It doesn't cost me anything and actually makes me feel good if I thought I helped out someone (and kept him from defecting to the other camp).:D
A 1981 Malibu? I can recall what it looked like, even. I suppose another option is to keep the signed title in the glove box and then just walk away wherever/whenever it decides to rest finally.
