hi im new to this site. this car is actually my moms, its a 2001 chevy malibu 3.1L. the problem is it died on her one day and she got it going again, then one day just wouldnt start. i checked it out to make sure there was fuel and spark which there was fuel pump turns on. i replaced fuel filter because thinking there might be some water that froze in it, yup nothing changed fuel pump fuse was blown so that was replaced aswell. she drove for prob a week and now wont start again. fuse is good replaced plugs and wires for the hell of it and casue they were do and still nothing. you put the key in and it turns over but does not fire up. im not a expert mechanic, i do alot of my own work bu tthis has me baffled. could it be a sensor? and which one? some one please help me

Welcome to the forum. I think your next step is to check the fuel pressure. I don't like the fact that the "fuel pump fuse was blown."

few things:

bad coolant sensor ?

bad ignition module ?

or, like me, (rare but could be) bad engine computer

leaky injectors (engine flood up)

the best thing would be to find out something wrong with a scan tool, good luck

I thought you were in the correct section. Maybe he was in the wrong forum which is cool. Let me know if you figured it out. My co-workers wife's Malibu just did the same thing.
