Well three days ago I picked up my new 2LT with the Diamond White paint. I did not see this the day I took delivery until yesturday washing the car. There are tiny rust specks all over the hood and some on the trunk. My question is I know they can just buff them off there I'm sure or what can I buy and do this by hand myself I am just funny abought going back to the dealer and have them screw something up as an example I had a new hood painted and when they buffed the hood the pad and wax hit the flat black trim at the bottom of the window and that stuff never comes off, there sometimes sloppy with that and just hit everything with the buffer pad and that wax never comes of the black.

Second thing the XM Radio signal goes in and out alot at times, pretty agervating any ways your thoughts, thanks.

Those specks are rail dust, they come right out with a clay bar.

Regarding the XM signal - I live in the Chicago area (suburbs) and I very seldom experience this issue. If it does happen, it is only for a 1/2 block or so.

I recently rented a car, which had XM, in the Lake Tahoe area, and lost signal was very prevelent. Bottom line, I guess - depends where you are.

Check with your dealer about the rail dust. When I owned my Prizm, GM covered removing the rail dust under warranty.

My XM signal is also spotty in certain areas of Salt Lake. I would also check with the dealer, but I don't know if there is anything they can do.

With a white car dont park under a bridge or anywhere cars brake dust can get on the car. My wifes car was constantly getting those little rust specs. what a pain. They were coming from metallic brake pads :(
