I had my bulbs replaced with HID's and had my GM dealer do it, but now the inside of the headlamps is all dirty and a bit fogged up (not crystal clear anymore) generally wouldn't this be under warranty since the quality of the headlamps are at fault and not the aftermarket lamps (HID's emit less heat than stock)

Also on the steering wheel the GM emblem became all warped due to sunlight and these things are bugging me, if I would have wanted a cheap quality car I would have picked up a Hyundai accent and not a GM.

Generally the headlights would be covered, and if you have a good dealer they may replace them, but the HID's are probably what caused it. The bulbs do run hot, and I do believe they are hotter than halogens. Not to mention the bulbs may have been tinted to give more color appearance which would defiinitly fog the housings.

As far as the steering wheel is concerned, they may very well cover it. You would have to have them take a look and see.

I would not say this is a cheap car by any means. Neither one is in any way due to GM's use of cheap parts. Be glad it's simple things and nothing major.

Fine, I'll guess I'll just have to whore myself out to feed all of the kids I don't have right now.

And... to stay on topic... The headlight issue may have nothing to do with the HID's, or inside of the houseing, at all. It could be environmental effects on the plastic housings (acid rain, airbourne contaminants, industrial fallout, etc.) causing the headlights to cloud. If this is the case, and the dealer won't replace them, then you could try two different things. A) Get some really fine wet/dry sandpaper to scuff and remove the bad layer, then use a plastic polish w/an orbital buffer to buff out the scratches. B) Buy a product specifically made for this issue.

Thanks guys, I‘ll see that the dealer says tomorrow. Hope they replace both of the issues since they are annoying
