Hello,

What steps do I need to take to ensure that I don't run into warranty issues if I'm planning on doing my own oil changes?

I'm planning on using Mobil 1 synthetic changed every 8,000 miles. Will this be an issue?

How do I shut off the Oil change warning thing when it goes off if I haven't reached 8,000 miles yet?

Read your owners manual on how to reset the oil life monitor.

Keep your receipts for your oil changes, that's all you can really do.

In your owners manual towards the back is a section where you can document all the servicing you did to the Mali

I staple the receipt for the oil to the cover of the filter that I then record the mileage on the back of the box top.

That's a good idea. I like using the filter cover because it says you replaced the filter each and everytime.
