I disconnected my air intake hose to see if it was clean as acceleration seemed a bit off but it was mostly normal. I took it out and there was some water that poured out of this plastic box on the side of the hose, got a little on the side of the engine and wondered if it was normal. I left it out with the water inside just in case but I haven’t put it back in the car yet

Plastic box is the separator/catch can on the outlet duct. It gets foul air collection that is usually a mess of oil vapor and tiny amounts fuel. It can get water condensate too. Sometimes it is the air box itself that has gotten some water. Rare but I've read of it.

Oh ok that makes me less worried lol. I cleaned/drained it and yes it has that smell. I want to wait until tomorrow to start it since I want to let the water I spilled near the belt dry up.

On a side note though I saw oil on the opening of the turbo and the inside, plus some inside the hose, is oil somehow getting inside my intake or should I not be worried about it?

Re: oil visible in turbo

Many possibilities. The turbo is internally lubricated and cooled with oil. If a seal is leaking, oil could become visible. Crankcase vapors are routed out of the crankcase through the camshaft cover and routed for combustion. Some vapors do cool and are captured in that separator. If that is full or some sneaks by, you could see it toward the end of the outlet duct and inlet to the turbo. I wouldn't immediately be concerned but there are some things to look over to gather more info:

1) if oil change is recent, like <500 miles, is the oil you see clean like new oil or gunky mess like you saw from the intake tube and catch box?

2) If you pop off the charge air outlet tube where it connects to the throttle body, do you see oil on the throttle plate? Tiny bit or a lot?

3) have you noticed oil consumption?
4) is the coolant in reservoir stable?

1. I would say it’s old oil, when I cleaned it it wasn’t fresh

2. Where is that located?

3. Yes I am noticing some very minor oil consumption but I do have a small leak from the oil pan already

4. Coolant has been the same level since I got the car over a month ago. 122k miles if that matters

1) good

2) see picture. Blue circled tube is the charge air cooler outlet tube. It runs from the front of the car to the back of the engine where it connects to the throttle body. The green arrow points to the spring loaded clip that secures the charge air cooler outlet tube to the throttle body. It pops off toward the passenger side. There is also a securing bracket on the tube by the vacuum pump that can be unbolted and removed to make it easy to detach the tube. You don't have to check this if uncomfortable.

3) Very minor isn't a concern especially if you know there is a small lower pan leak.

4) good

I popped that hose off, there is a tiny bit of fresh oil in the throttle body, but it’s mostly clean

I don't think you have anything to be concerned about. You might have to replace the lower oil pan if that tiny leak is from the seal and gets worse. But that's $35 plus some oil, sealant, and time - no big deal.
