Anyone have any tips on replacing the waterpump with the kit that come all put together? Like a video or easy to follow instructions? The manual I bought sent me here and there till I was ready to just remove whatever was in the way and throw the book away.

Indeed! The original pump has the impeller exposed when not installed. That new pump looks like it has a solid back on it, making it the type that is not mated to the block but is free-standing.
Are they interchangeable ? Is the second type preferable?
Please let me ask this line of questions.
Where did you order your parts?
What part numbers did you order?
What part numbers did you receive?
Do you still have the boxes your new parts arrived in?
Thanks so much folks love the info.
Is the 2.0L LDK the same or just similar?
@JTR19. Far out!
Do I see the cam driven hi-pres fuel pump in black? And what is the purpose of the ~3/8” hose barb aft of the yellow dip stick?
Again, thanks very much for the image it does tell me much. Do you have more say of the back side?
Thanks @JTR19 the fuel pump /cover you have marked is exactly what I was looking at and thinking it might be..
the hose barb is directly below the hp fuel pump. To me it looks threaded into the intake manifold.

hopefully, I’ll get to look at one in detail Tuesday. It’s studying Texan right now on its way S from Detroit.
