I’m not one to give my cars names, but the kids named mine Boo Boo (from the name Malibu).

It’s particularly fitting because the thing always has something wrong with it. Haven’t been able to drive it since October…cat(s) completely plugged and I haven’t the $$ to fix it.

Ditto on no names. My first Gen7 was a 2009, traded 2 years later for a 2011 that was lost to a flood 3 years after that, then found another 2011 that I've been driving for over 9 years now.

Some folks do, some don't. It will be interesting to see what some of the names are, though!

My '08 Impala (RIP) was named Francine - American Dad of course. Mainly due to her color being black and the unforgettable "Tearjerker" episodes with Francine Smith as Sexpun Tocome/Sexpuneequa. Yes, I am extra. 🤣🤣🤣

My current '11 Malibu, courtesy of the late Franny, is named Betty.
Was going to name her Stephanie or some other college girl name, as that's that's her vibe, but nothing stuck until a friend jokingly said "Betsy" and with one of my favorite TSwift songs being "Betty" it just made sense. 😅

I called my Saturn “my Saturn” I called my 1st Malibu “Scooby Bu” & I’m thinking about calling my current one “Molly Bu” 🙄😳🤪
