What is your car normal idle rpm? When the engine is hot (aka after driving for more than 5-10 minutes). Mine is around 800 RPM. I wonder if it is high and makes my MPG low. My civic 96 idle rpm is around 600.

My engine idles about 650 rpm. I have the V6. If yours idles that fast you may have to take your car to the dealer and have them reprogram it or find the problem. Maybe your IAC valve is bad.[If your engine has one]
