Hey whats up. I own a 2007 chevy cobalt SS supercharged. I'm going to get a 2008 malibu ltz with the 1lz option. I'm planning on doing the whole V.I.P. trend with it. The reason I went with the 1lz is because the aftermarket support for the ecotec. Currently the 2.4 has a huge after market following as far as turbo and even supercharger kits swaped over from the supercharged cobalt. The only problem I see is the tuning for it. I don't know if any has tried or even want to crack the ecu. I think that intence might be able too. I saw some nice numbers for the supercharger swap. Here's a link. http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthread.php?t=68442&highlight=2.4+supercharger . I know that the aftermarket doesn't exist for this car but its food for thought. Gravana tuning also has some nice wheels for the car considering that the cobalt and the malibu share the same lug pattern.
