Hello everyone. Im going in tommorow to get my windows tinted and I was thinking 40% on the front 2 windows and 35% on the 3 back windows. What is your guy's opinions?

IMO the front windows will be too light to benefit from it. Do 35% all around or 35% on the front and 20% on the back three. I am not sure what the law is around you and how much it enforced though. I love my 20%, I can see at night, but it blocks enough sunlight during the day so I don't need sunglasses.

I wish california didn't have the gay law of no tint on the front window. I'd love to do 20% all around, but can only do the back windows 20%.

Has anyone tried the clear tint to at least block some of the sun rays and stop the interior from heating up so easily? I've got to have something up front, since I can't do tint.

you can get away with doing something like 55 or 70 on windshield without the coppers noticing. Just be sure and when you do a front glass not to get too much water running down the front of your car into all you electronics, that would be bad.

Agreed, 40% is too light. My fronts are 40% and I'm not happy with it... but that's as dark as is legal around here, so that's what I've got to deal with for right now.

As far as tinting the windshield... I know people that have done it, but I would never do it myself.

yea that something you wanna have a shop do , looks better and its on them if something goes wrong. 35 is legal in my city but a go 18 all the way around. Until they catch me riding dirty im not to worried about it. If you see a cop just roll your windows down to be safe or open your sunroof to let more sunlight in. I just couldnt see 40 on front windows. I like it dark!
