What you are seeing are typically called sand chips, and if you drive the car then they are normal, and may be worse if you live in higher wind and sandy\dusty areas.

X2 --- Try living in the TX panhandle desert. It really sucks when you drive into the low setting sun.:eek:

I see yours is a 2011. You can't have too many miles on it yet, can you? If not the you might want to speak to your dealer about it. Glass should be clear, but if you've driven through a lot of dust or dirt then it may have been caused by the elements. My '11 is perfectly clear and I have 2100 miles on it.

Yes it is new. Came down to Florida from upstate NY and noticed it down here. Next week is first oil change so I'll bring it up to the Dealer.

Another thing with a car that new. Did you or the dealer have a "protection" package put on the car? In your case the dealer in New York may have put one on. That could be where the chips are coming from as well.

@Sandhopper, I'm in Wichita and we do get our share of wind and dust as well.
