Engine Block Coolant Drain Plug

I have a 2004 Malibu LT 3.5 V6. I want to change the coolant starting by draining the radiator. To be thorough, I want to remove the engine block coolant drain plug just above the oil filter to remove as much coolant as possible before I flush it out with water. Is this a risky procedure? If not, what torque should I use to re-install this engine block bolt? Should I use anti-seize grease or Locktite on the bolt threads before tightening? Thanks.

You will never get all of the coolant out of every part of the engine/cooling system. If you want to be thorough, drain what you can, fill up with plain water, run the system until hot and use the heater. Drain this out and repeat if you have the time.
Finally add the correct quantity of straight coolant and bring to full with low mineral water. A coolant "tester" can be had inexpensively and I find them easy to use. A 50/50 mixture usually works best.

Don't mix coolant types. I'm very impressed with dex-cool.
