Two questions. 1. Why does the link you provide for searching take me to a WalMart Page? 2. Is there a fix for this so my wife is not always fighting with the car to get it in the off position. She has tried the key jiggle, the transmission shift jiggle. She gives up then I am getting a call that the battery is dead. What is the fix for this?
CMF Edit: Moved from similar thread 3 years old/merged into 1 post
OK..First I apologize, I know this has been talked about.. I looked in all the threads and posts I could find but none had a solution. There were hints at a recall etc. others said just jiggle the key, ignition, or shifter. This is my wife's car and I am out of town a lot. I have given her the above solutions and she gets frustrated at fighting the car and gives up. Then I am getting a call that her car battery is dead again.
My question is, has there been a service bulletin regarding this, or has there been a recall I am not aware of.
BTW, our ignition was part of that massive recall, and I thought that would take care of this, but the recall only put a chip in the key and/or fob. When I went to pick up the car tonight, guess what? Yep, battery dead. Frustrated to no ends.
Sorry for the long post, but there has to be a solution to this.
Thanks in advance/
