My 2006 Malibu Maxx makes a strange rubbing/groaning noise in the front somewhere, when I make a wide right turn (ie: coming off an expressway ramp). I've had the tires balanced and rotated as well as a front end alignment, but the noise is still there. It does not make the noise when turning left. It did not make this noise until the last two months or so. Any clues? The car has about 71K miles on it.

Check your inner fender liners to be sure they're secured properly. Wouldn't be the first time something came loose on a car.
